Good point. Lot of people knew nothing about Hiroshima and Nagasaki until weeks or months after the fact back then. People were more isoslated and remotely back then. TVs were uncommon, not everyone had a radio. Wasn't uncommon to only go town a few times a year.

We know during these events now or immediately after. It's different effect on the mind.
