Good alternative viewpoint. I think it's both a privilege and a burden for both genders.

Yes, on average men die sooner which means they don't have to grieve. Given the rise of silver divorces and how men are failing to handle it well, it's clear avoiding the grief of losing everything is a blessing. Men are ill equipped to handle loss at present. They used to be better at it, back when women dying during childbirth was a regular occurance.

But your life is gone. I see you're getting flack from a bunch of MRA type guys so I'll leave that there. They've got the tar and feathers at the ready, you gender traitor you. 😉

Women live longer. But they have to mourn the lossif a loved one and carry on. That means they usually spend the end of their lives in a care facility, in a long slow decline, being tended to mostly haphazardly by strangers. Yay! So you get to live, but your death is usually more unpleasant and drawn out. Not really the privilege they're selling on the brochures, is it? What's the point in living if you can't really 'live', right?

Gotta admit, I'm chuckling in my morning java over the man whining in your comment thread. Right? Cause you KNOW these same guys are gonna be all up in some WGTOW feminist's comment thread with hysterical ranting threats of dying alone and cats. You just gotta admire the mental gymnastics and juxtaposition here of "female privilege". To use the same dynamic as a cudgel on both sides.

Ah, the sweet acrid smell of cognitive dissonance. Must be Friday.
