Gaming can be an addictive rabbit hole. Many many women have complained about partners and relatives who spend all their time gaming and ignore their families and their responsibilities. They become absolute slobs.

So gaming has become a red flag issue beyond the usual "toxic masculinity" stuff.

Obviously, the association doesn't apply to all gamers and it will fade in time provided those red flag issues get addressed. Until then... that's just kind of where we are.
