For the record, feminism is about the choice to choose, not about one way over the other. The choice shouldn't be about gender.

When I was growing up, my neighbor had a massive heart attack young. After that, his wife took a higher oaying job and they downsized to our neighborhood. He stsyes home with the kids and she had the career.

He'd never been happier. He was miserable in that high stress, prestigious job. It nearly killed him.

Feminism made it possible for them to switch roles without falling into destitution. She ended up making more than he did and the medical expenses didn't end up bankrupting them.

The problem with the TradWife movement is that because it stemmed from religion, it's not about choice. It's about shaming women who choose other and advocating we ALL go back to the Valium model whether that's the best version of our lives or not.

Nearly every single one of these propaganda pieces claim that there's this war between feminists and TradWife and feminists are being hypocrites, blah blah blah.

But where are actual feminists demanding those women not chiose that life? Some women are, sure. It's icky, creepy even. It's definitely tone deaf with racist undertones and feminists have criticized the tone deafness and racism of it. But not all women are feminists.

If that's their choice, then go for it. You do you, Boo. I would advise you to make sure you have a financial parachute for when he cheats on you because you got boring, or leaves you when you get sick, or starts abusing you. Otherwise, you might find out why so many of 50s women were dedicated to martinis and "Mother's Little Helper".
