Focus on staying hydrated, up your electrolyte intake, stay in the shade, use water to promote more evaporative cooling off your skin, siestas or splooting (human style) through the hot part of the day, pull the matteesses up and sleep on a rope bed, fans, large shade hats or shade unbrellas, sweet tea or lemonade or kosher Cokes (for the sugar, you wanna stay away from high fructose corn syrup), slow down, breathable fabrics in clothing or fashionable cutouts in fabrics, etc.

And of course, air conditioning if you have it, which most people do.

Mostly the same. I moved here from Alabama, which durinf the summer is comparable to what you described. The day we left was in the middle of July and it was 105° with 89% humidity. There were tornado alerts on the broader area.
