False equivalence. You cannot assume a "what's good for me is also good for you" attitude. That's not a given.

Laws of coverture beneditted men. They were not good for women.

Laws regulating medical testing are good for men. They have not been good for women.

Laws banning abortion are good for rapists (who coincidentally, are mostly men) and for wealthy and religious men. They are not good for women (even the wealthy and religious ones who are also, inexplicably, for these laws). These laws are also bad for already living children.

Regulations around the determination of a credit score are better for men than for women, though I grant you, they're not great for men either. Just less bad.

There's all sorts of laws, big and small that are good for men but not women.

And yes, there have been and are some the other way around.
