Except you weren' t warning of alienating young men. In your diatribe you were actually acknowleding that young men are NOT being alienated.
It's in the first sentence you quoted today .....
IF YOUNG MEN ARE REFUSING TO BE what young women want.....
To refuse something is to take action. It's a choice to a certain path.
If you're the one refusing something, you're not being alienated, you're the one doing the alienating.
There's no action taken against you despite your best attempts to come to agreeable terms. You took your stick and went home to sulk because you didn't lIke the ball field. You chose to alienate your friends rather than work together to find or build a ball field that works well for everyone. And now you're aggrieved because you threw a pity party of one and nobody but you showed up.
Secondly, women want men to be equal parners and be authentic. They want reciprocity. It's really NOT a big ask.
Even so, men have every right in the world to refuse. For the most part, it seems they have.
Which means women now have a choice to make. Whether to cave and be content with crumbs from scrubs or whether to refuse pairing with men who have categorically made it clear they are disintertested in your happiness or well being. Women are choosing to find happiness without men.
You can't abandon or alienate someone who preemptively chose to not show up and participate. You're just choosing to carry on with your own life and let him carry on with his, as he chose.
As you very clearly said....
"IF young men REFUSE to not be what young women want..."
