Except that that's only true for you. For the rest of us, Trump is going to render our lives significantly worse.
A lot of us won't make it to the "BIG" collapse, the one that "matters" because it's the one that will affect you.
So you'll pardon us for being a little "emotional" about the fact that he's chronically painting targets on our backs and then hiding behind "free speech". And we are legitimately in harm's way.
I'll point out to you again about what's happening to electrical linemen in Texas. Right now.
Then you can point out to us all again how Trump is not an existential threat because he's not gunning for or whipping up the crazies against YOU.
You know, all the not-Nazis of Weimer Republic sounded a whole lot like you. They accused those who were being targeted as fear-mongerers when they pushed back on or expressed anxiety over the rhetoric. They said it wasn't big picture or the whole chess board too.
And they didn't even need to be on social media or be teenage girls to see what was right in front of them.
Ever read the diary of Anne Frank? Or any other diaries/journals of the time? Just because there was no internet at the time that allowed anyone to know of everyone's anxiety doesn't mean that anxiety didn't exist, was improper or "fearmongering", or any other bullshit and batshit deflectionary excuse to ignore the very real and obvious fact of the harm and danger this man is to significant portions of the public. Right here. Right now.
It doesn't matter if he's a danger directly if he's the one handing out loaded weapons or pardons to those who are and creating chaos, mobs, and normalizing violence against the targeted.
But yes. We get your point. As long as you're comfortable, no one else's imminent danger is of concern because what's going to eventually take you down is the only threat that counts. Because history is full of moments where other types of people faced all sorts of threats because of the corrupt shenanigans of people who looked like you but the masses who also looked like you were all fine so it's all good. History is intact and gives us the "proper" lens with which to view the situation. Yay. Whitewashing.
That's your point. We understand it completely. Both what's being said and that this-is-how-logic-works (winkwink) part that's not being said.
