Except that hurricanes bring storm surges and floods too. Hypercanes will too.

I guess you could build yourself a waterproof storm shelter bunker if you had the means. But it would have to stay 100% waterproof, stand up to wave damage of the geoumd gets relocated some, and have secure and also waterproof air intake/outtake. Even if you had all that, you might find yourself buried underwater (at sea) indefinitely as a storm like this could most definitely reorient a coastline. Your need an escape plan if that or flooding happens.

Some of these storms are going to be so bad the only real course of action is going to be evacuation. I think a return to nomadism may be worth consideration.
