Exactly this. Each generation sets the stage for the one that follows. My mother, a boomer, was deeply offended when I said this to her. She, like most older people are it as blaming them for failures they didn't cause. But the fact is, they didn't protect the conditions their parents and grandparents set up for them which created the dynamics of their success.

Now, they're willfully blinding themselves to the warnings of collapse all around us. Things simply cannot continue as they have. Something has to give.

If you think employers are hurting for employee now, wait till the schools collapse from lack of teachers and all the moms have to stay home with the kids.

If I owned a business I sure wouldn't be bitching and moaning about how lazy young people are. I'd be figuring out ways to retain my employees so I don't lose my business to hubris.
