Except them not pulling the divorce trigger is not forcing the woman to stay in the marriage because she can and eventually will when she realizes he's not staying because he's legitimately trying to work it out. I think that's why it takes the 2 years before women file. They're willing to stay, even after they themselves have given up hope, to give him the last chance to salvage it. As soon as they realize hes not really trying and just coasting, she'll file.
