Every immigrant brought their prejudices over here when they came. It’s the single most reason why America struggles with racism and prejudice like it does and also why it’s maybe the biggest hope to end it eventually.

We have to deal with it. Literally, people’s from all over the world live here. You HAVE to make enough room for different folks enough or violence erupts.

Does that make us better than anyone elsewhere? Of course not. I’m saying by nature of being open to immigration to fill the country we’ve been forced to deal with issues we wouldn’t necessarily have chosen to if we didn’t have to. Obviously we still have very far to go.
