Even so, he is advocating and supporting a representation that looks more like the kaleidoscope of American peoples.
Yeah, he’s comfortable to most voters. And his behavior in the past is problematic viewed through the lens of today. The real question is, now that it’s socially unacceptable is he more aware and conducting himself accordingly? And let’s not forget his championing of the Violence Against Women Act. At the time, nobody wanted to touch that. He did.
I don’t agree with all his policies or past either. But I don’t expect a perfect candidate. I don’t expect a candidate to solve all the nations woes in 4 short years. I do expect someone who holds the office to work for the people to the absolute best of their ability and not themselves, to enforce our laws not engage in unlawful mob like behavior, to hold and cherish our democracy and not undermine it, to represent us appropriately/morally conducting diplomacy on the world stage and not embarrass and humiliate us, to be a diligent steward of our national resources, military might, and economy and not disrespect them, abuse them, or throw them to swine.
That shouldn’t be too much to ask. Of the two, there shouldn’t be any question who checks the right boxes. Everything else I would like to see my President and Vice President do can be built from that. I don’t expect them to do it alone. They will be hearing from me, and often. If y’all truly care about policies on the docket or national matters, they should be hearing from you too. Otherwise, you’re just complaining to complain.
