Even entertaining the notion for a moment that he is right and disabled people can leave a church abled by the laying on of hands, there are still two logistical problems with his assertion.

First off, in order to be healed by faith, they still have to get to the church and will still need to park. So even if you practice and are 100% successful with faith based healing as part of your Christian tradition, you still need handicapped parking.

Secondly, churches operate off a "if you build it, they will come" model. That means your building and accessibility have to be inviting and hospitable. That means if you want your pews filled, you need a place for people to park. Okay, so the parking spots need to exist whether or not they are set aside for handicapped people. We can reasonably conclude the only real added expense for handicapped vs regular parking then, is paint, a sign, and a car placard or sticker giving permission for that car to be there. He expects us to believe that THAT is the church's biggest operational expense? A can of paint, some stickers, and some signage? Really? I wanna see their light bill. Do a little forensic accounting type compare and contrast. Yep. Common sense tells us there's something a touch squirrelly about this claim of his. One would be forgiven for concluding the guy is either stupid, on drugs, or taking political potshots from the pulpit at a protected demograohic of the population.

What a fool. He's jeopardizing his church's tax exempt status.

And, he's being a dick.

I just thought of another aspect of idiocy about this. There are laws that require handicapped parking and the Bible says that innorder to stay within God's grace, that Christians should "render unto Caesar what is Caesar's and render unto God what is God's". And God is concerned about what's going on your heart and mind. Ergo, if you really are a Christian and a believer, then listening to and giving energy to this hack is allowing yourself to be led away from God's grace because this is an uncharitable and disrespectful attitude. A prooer Christian would do up handicap parking extra fancy and inviting, gladly and without that sttitude on display because the govt requires it and then use the absence of cars in those spots to proclaim the Good News. That little thing called Evangelical strategy. Really, who's side is he on? Who's he really working for?

Hmm. I remain unconvinced he's actually read his Bible.
