Empathy is not the same as pandering. And yeah, you'll hurt other women and men by pandering to him. You further hurt him too, because you're validating his grievance.

To pander is to gratify or indulge an immoral or distasteful desire, need, habit, or a person with such a desire.

A pander is also a slang term for a pimp.

Synonyms are now to, humor, please, accommodate, compmt with, go along with, yield to, fulfill, give in to, and cater to.

His claim is that all women only date based on income. Demonstrably false.

Your response was classic pick meisha. "I'm so sorry all those other women (every other woman in the world) were so mean and unfair to you, but I'm not like that."

You validated his unrealistic and ridiculous belief which is no where near true. It's a narrative that belongs on Pluto, or Planet X, out of the light of day. Far far far away.

Now, he needs and desires to keep up this habit of blaming his dating failures on women and he routinely bashes them in both articles and comments in order to skirt around facing up to his own shortcomings.

And you just pimped out every other woman writer and metaphorically, all women to be further verbally abused by this troll by validating his self delusion that women won't date him for any other reason than that he's a jerk and/or he keeps chasing after women players (whoo girls).
