Disagree. I have a child and protonatalism is very clear. I was in my mid 30s when I had my daughter, so I’ve been on both sides of this fence.
Also disagree that it affects mothers less. All this yammering works overtime to erase the identities of mothers, whether you’re working or not. It also pits us against each other.
I’m not saying it’s worse, I’m just saying it’s the other side of the same coin. It’s no better. Again, having been on both sides of this.
I had one child most specifically because of overpopulation and that’s what I knew I could afford by myself. One replacement. My child is the last of my maternal bloodline and the last of my paternal direct bloodline though my uncle has one heir as well.
