Did you think the Canadian govt did that out the generosity of their hearts and overflowing good will toward others? Or because they were pressured into it by advocates?

You benefit as an individual.

I get you're so full of grievance that you can't see it.

Also, I never said that it was feminism and feminism alone that brought about disability rights. I'm saying feminists were a part of that because weve been a part of a lot of other movements seeking equality and rights. Feminism is just a focus on gender rights. But it doesn't exclude others.

There's a lot of overlap and always has been, historically.

You benefit. You don't get a personalized, rubber stamped handout. But then, neither do I. I won't see the results of the equality I fight for. But my daughter will. Just like my grandma didn't get to enjoy the benefit of what she advocates for. But I did.

That's how it works. That's the long slow slog. You're fighting for a bettee future for your descendants and others, not for a tangible gain for yourself.
