Criticism of the tactic is fine. I can’t say I haven’t thought some of these things myself. Especially the "Do they have the right? — yup. Do the justices deserve it? — yep. Sure do. They actually deserve a lot worse, IMHO.

Here’s where I end up though. They’ve barred protest at the courts and erected a fence so they won’t have to face the music of the public’s disgust. The Supreme Court needs to be protested. The people deserve to give that feedback on rules they are expected to follow and the Court NEEDS that feedback so they don’t fall out of touch with the people.

So when that conversation gets shut down, it has to happen somewhere else, because it has to happen.

In lieu of providing another place, the justices are consenting to be protested wherever they are found. At this point, they can either answer to the people, or never know another moments peace. Just like all the women of America who are now in harm’s way because of their idiocy.

Is it strategically sound? I don’t know. I don’t think anyone can rightly say except through hindsight, and even that will be biased.

I do know this is a theocratic fascist takeover of democracy. And I know when theocracy comes knocking, if you want to survive the jihad all the gloves come off. No apologies and no remorse. You fight tooth and nail every way you can. It’s not strategic to worry too much about notions of civility when your very life (your right to determine your own life) is threatened. History teaches us that as well.

The Dobbs decision was odious and wrong for more than just eliminating federal guarantee of right to an abortion. It is an attack on the first amendment freedom of religion (as well as freedom from religion), the statements okaying persons bodies and bodily products for purposes of the state (there aren’t enough desirable babies for the adoption industry), and the attack on privacy because ultimately you CANNOT enforce the illegality of abortion without invading medical privacy, unlawful search and seizure (forced pregnancy tests when crossing state lines), or interfering with state commerce.
