Conservative religious raising almost always leads to difficult and unhappy marriages, especially if you were young during purity culture. You'd think they'd learn. You just can't keep kids that ignorant and helpless in the world and think they'll sail through. They won't be able to function and many people are manipulative trash.

Your raising set you up to fail. Good news is, you can grow beyond your raising and still have a good life. Get out of that marriage. Move on.
