My heart breaks for your friend. Poor boy. I hope he's able to find his way to sobriety and healing.

My neighbor across the street was a pastor's (step)son. He got into drugs pretty young too. He got busted in high school and sent off to rehab. He seemed like he was doing better for a while. Seemed like he was trying to ride it out till he could leave and go his own way.

He didn't make it. He killed himself soon after graduation. Something to do with college, I think.
