Collapse won't be that fast, so no, Trump winning won't herald the end of the west or civilization.

BUT, another Trump presidency will likely accelerate collapse. He's too belligerent to be reined in effectively by the billionaires and he can't run again after winning a second election thanks to the 22nd amendment (I think, I'd have to check the # again).

He's not interested in anything except performing his version of the "strong man" trope for his cult worshippers, as we saw during the early days of the pandemic, and saving his own ass from all those felony indictments. It's questionable how many more massive hits like Covid we can weather without there being some serious consequences. I know "blue" states are sick and tires of having to support "red" state policies only to have "red" states continually run rough shod over "blue" states' civil rights, liberties, and culture on a federal level and prevent them from addressing social problems by making g certain issues federal when it suits them by wringing their hands about state rights to establish a policy beachhead of oppression.

There's a growing clammor from "blue" states for secession that's been really growing for over a generation. And blue states hold most of the ports, all of them along thr west coast.
