Climate grief is real and it's brutal. Most days, you're resolved to the predicament. You know there's no way out, you've made your peace. So you're rolling along, living yiur life, more or less okay and them out of the blue for no damn reason whatsoever it will hit you that there's not going to be any more of X very soon.

So one day not too long ago, I'm having a snugglefest lalapalooza with my beloved hellhound, who has crawled up in my lap and scotched herself into my arms like a cradled baby. I'm rubbing her belly and tickling her whiskers and she's jawing at me,.as she does and everything is peace and serenity and a moment of oure joy and happiness, right?

BOOM!!!!

It hits me that very soon, there's not going rombe any more beagles (or other dog breeds) because breeds require separation from other breeds and breeding programs. Money. Resources. Dog breeds are a hobby perpetuates by people with enough excess cash and resources to invest in them and people with enough excess cash and resources to buy them and provide a life for them.

Then that thought is immediately followed by...

BOOM!!!

Jupiter Jones, the Bra Stealing Bandit of Maricopa County may very well be one of the last generations of beagles. And follow that thought where it must go.

I took a day off work to find my way back to being more or less okay again.

At some point, pictures of puppies is just going to make it worse. It will be inhumane.
