::checks pants. Confirms absence of dick::

Most men cannot change a tire, read a compass or a map, build a fire, or find their way out being turned around on a highway.

Now, don't get me wrong. I'm not saying all men are useless or incompetent. There certainly are plenty of men with these skillsets. But there's plenty of women with them too.

I'm saying that skillsets one garners are not attached to ones genitals. They're attached to requirement, opportunity, desire, etc.

I wasn't allowed to get my driver's license se until I could change a tire, jump a car, do a full inspection, and change the oil and a belt.

For me, that was the requirement for a driver's license.

Other stuff I learned, I learned because I wanted to.

Women are socialized to look to men for protection and privision. To make sure that they did, for centuries skills that would have granted them autonomy were deliberately kept from them.

It had nothing to do with biology.

If it did, you wouldn't see so many women picking up skills like home maintenance and repair. Car and motorcycle maintenance. Woodworking. Blacksmithing. Etc.

Or, see them loving it.
