Certainly if one is wired more for a solo life, there's nothing wrong with that. It's better than making yourself and another person miserable just to fulfill a misguided societal expectation that we all couple up.

That said, it's also true that plenty of people still need others for various reasons. There's nothing wrong with that either. It just shouldn't be the default or be forced on anyone who doesn't want it or can't live authentically that way.

There are even more for whom it's not about need. It's about want. They want someone to share their life with. There's absolutely nothing wrong with this either. After all, what greater honor can someone bestow upon you than to want to share their time on this Earth with you? To desire you? To trust you? It's certainly better than settling on you out of need that may or may not be lifelong.
