We got ice cream. I'm a chocolate hound. Mint chocolate chip is my favorite. We go to Cold Stone creamery because they have an outside patio eating area and we can take Jupiter and it's within comfortable walking distance of the park.

The staff are kind enough to fatten our portions when mixing and then setting aside a small cup for Jupiter before adding anything she can't have, like the chocolate.

Not that Valentine's Day is that important in and of itself, but any excuse to spend time together in whatever modest way different than the usual daily stuff is good and healthy for our relationships too. It just can't be all the effort ever or overboard to the point of making the recipient uncomfortably overwhelmed.

I thought Jupes would never have a greater love than mint ice cream. I was wrong. She likes peanut butter ice cream more.
