But not to lie as a public official. Public officials are and should be held to a higher standard because they hold a position of trust. You cannot nor should you ever trust a liar in public office.

It should never have fallen to private enterprise to make decisions to act in the place of public officials weighing the costs of public safety and Constitutional freedoms.

A failure of state made it necessary and we are all to blame. We’ve accepted the avarice and capriciousness of our elected leaders for far too long. Failure of accountability was always going to lead us here.
