Bullshit. You're choosing pickmeisha bullshit here.
It is not Taylor Swift's job to check every utterance or thought that passes through her head against some imagined litmus test with ever changing goal posts to make sure her fans or teenage girls don't copy her.
It's parents' job to make sure they're raising strong daughters and sons instead of mindless sheeple.
As a mother to a teenage daughter, I will NOT abdicate that responsibility or sit her and nod along while someone else dumps that on Taylor Swift, who has no children, last I checked.
She's responsible for her children. I'm responsible for mine. You're responsible for yours. Don't blame TS if you're failing. Got it?
BTW, Sharpies are AP certified non-toxic as long they're not consumed. There's an adaptability and resourcefulness to what she did, in a pinch, that is worthy of both admiration and emulation, not to mention, the confidence and humor in confessing it.
Well, for those of us who actually want strong daughters and sons, there's a lot worse celebrities they could choose as role models or admire than TS.
Further, who the hell do you think you are to judge her performance or effectiveness of feminism just to tear her down? I can not express enough the disgust I feel to see a so called fellow feminist jump on the conservative vulture vomit bandwagon just to tear a fellow woman down for being successful, cause you are an abject fool if you think it's ANYTHING other than that.
Lastly, you are missing something obvious and an opportunity here, which is damn shame considering you are coming from the same sort of abuse. The abusers have organized on the internet over the past twenty years or so and the exploited have some catching up to do. Our mistake for trusting "the system" to give a rat's ass about us and protect us. "The system" has made it clear it's not going to and/or isn't capable of doing so. It's not breaking news that for every woman who gets justice for assault, there are hundreds who don't. Would you really be so petty as to deny justice to any one of them simply because others didn't get it? Who and what do you think that pettiness serves?
Especially when now you have a lightening rod in Taylor Swift for the exploited to galvanize around and learn these skills and someone with resources and a now vested interest in tackling this problem.
But if she thinks seeking justice will also get her attacked by mob grievance thinking, why would she?
Your pettiness here is not smart or strategic thinking. That's disappointing too, to see from a fellow (to TS) abuse victim.
I hope you think about your position here and do better. And I'm truly sorry you were exploited and harmed by this technology and the jackass who used it against you. I hope both you and TS get justice.
Or vengeance.
