TikTok works off of what can be considered virtual neighborhoods. Miracle upon miracles, you sashay yourself on through as many neighborhoods as you want. There's even a directory of sorts and a search icon.

The algorithm will keep showing you things you've engaged with. Ergo, if the only thing you're seeing in your feed is beauty stuff, it's because that's all you care about and you should probably broaden your horizons a little more. Most especially when writing articles criticizing and condemning other platforms you clearly have no clue how to operate and haven't spent any significant time on. It's just in bad taste.
