Because when the general consensus is that men are superior beings to women, then women have to prove they are deserving of power.

The way out is to reject this nonsense. Stop giving men a place of superiority in your mind and your life. Don't accept that you are inferior.

Work hard to advantage yourself and your children, not to prove your worth to men. When they intrinsically believe they are superior, nothing you ever do will ever be enough, they'll just move the goalposts.
