Because that’s NOT fraud. Fraud carries intent. There has to be mens rea for many things to be labelled a crime. We don’t incarcerate people for accidents or misunderstandings. You have to mean to lie to and manipulate someone for financial benefit for it to be fraud. Without that criminal intent, it’s not fraud within the legal system.

It’s not like babies are born with receipts or a bill of lading.

That said, we’ve had reliable DNA tests for over 3 decades now.

If you’re being taken to court for a paternity suit and you haven’t demanded a paternity test as part of that suit....you’re an idiot.

This is not the problem you claim. It is easily resolved. Easily.

1. If you don’t want to be a baby daddy, then wear a condom. Every time. Without fail. As directed. Alternately, get snipped.

2. If you are accused of fathering a child that you do not believe is yours, step up in ajudication, showing a willingness to support that child IF it is yours. State your concerns that it might not be without the mansterics, slut shaming like you weren’t also dipping your wick like a man-whore, and woman bashing. Require a paternity test. You’ll get one.

3. If and when that child turns out to be yours, honor your obligation without the aggrieved, entitled little hissy fits every damned day. Take care of YOUR kid. If it turns out that child is NOT yours, learn your damn lesson and move on with your life. Wearing a damned condom. Every time. Without fail. As directed. Respect your sexuality and your part in the reproductive process and stop chasing pussy like a fucking crack addict. I said what I said.

In regards to paternity, the only way men are victims here is being victims of themselves. Women are NOT doing this to them.

You can’t prance through life like your sole purpose is to pollinate the entire world and not think that sooner or later some of that pollen is going to result in something you’re going to have to sit still and cultivate for the next twenty years.
