Because "taking care of" is a phrase that has a particular socioeconomic and political meaning. It's a response that has arisen from a particular disgusting rhetoric floated out from the manosphere on social media.

I've only read your artixle to this point so far, but it already feels like you're being delibersteky obtuse. We'll see.

But for everyone else, who might be unfamiliar, here's what this is.

The lame dudes (you know the type) have swamped social media with all this crap about how women need men but men don't need women, and women should be submissive, women are trying to be men, women don't take care of men like they should, they're sluts who don't put out enough, blah blah blah. You get the picture.

They did this because, women are delaying marriage and having children, mostly due to the economy but there are political aspects too.

So women responded saying, "no, we don't NEED men anymore for survival as we have our own jobs and income, but that doesn't mean we don't want to be in equitable relationships with men. And isn't that better? To be wanted instead of tolerated from socioeconomic need?"

To rephrase, women are saying they're willing to be partners but the fuckmaid days are done. They weren't good for us. There's not enough Valium and booze in the world. Thanks but no thanks.
