Because he did so in 3rd person, not for himself. He talked about groups. Men and women.
And it is political. Because of the pressure and attention being put on men's mental health and the general discourse around it that has been flooding media.
When he chose to write 3rd person, he chose for his essay to be oart of that broader conversation. His talking points are a redlextion of that. It was not personal and no where in there did he make any personal statement of loneliness.
This isn't two friends being vulnerable over a beer in a pub and looking for support. You keep trying to paint it as that but this was a published opinion piece about a larger issue than what may or may not be going on with him. As are almost all of his pieces thus far.
I'm not saying there's anything wront with that, just that it is what it is. There's no evidence for how you're reframing it.
