Because any business that sells a product the public won't accept or the target customer doesn't want will fail in short order.
Young men are not interested in being 'decent' or good human beings. They're interested in battling up the hierarchical ladder to be recognized and respected amongst their peers, other men.
They do this by metaphorically breaking the bones of all competition in order to make their bread.
That's kinda antithetical to any ideas about decency or goodness. That problem is solved by equating competitive success with being a good man. There's a reason why sociopaths tend to be elevated to high positions.
So young men are interested in any kind of strategy that they think will elevate them to a position of success. They don't give a rat's ass about goodness and decency only so far as their guilt manifests upon realizing that those bones they're breaking to make their bread belong to real live human being people on random rare occasions. And for a while, that's all they're interested in. Believe what they are saying, as Maya Angelou said.
You can't have a dominance gierarchy without a fair number of it's participants becoming obsessed with status and position. Especially for the young, looking to establish their place in the world. It's a feature, not a bug.
The way to end it is not to have sociopaths make money off a something different scheme that won't sell, but to end the conditions that lead to the obsession with status and the cleaving of houng men's perception from reality that makes it hard for them to see other human beings as human, autonomous and of equal intrinsic value, and not something to be used to get them ahead or abused so they can feel better about themselves or life or what have you.
It misogyny sells so easily and readily because it's of value to many men who are caught in that obsessive thinking and they desire it. They love it, in fact.
Women need to come to terms with that and make their life choices accordingly, because there's really only 3 options here until a new social organization system emerges and supplants Patriarchy.
