Average Americans sanctioned Trump, a known rapist, a known drifter, a known criminal, a known Putin sympathizer. Not only did average Americans sanction a rapist over a competent Black woman, some of them labeled him as thr second coming of Jesus.

Why do you presume the pretext matters? Trump was elected, in part, under the pretext that Haitan immigrants were eating Fido. Look what happened there with the assaults and calls to violence.

Fascism is a fever that burns away rationality and rational thinking. This is a fascist rise. Fascist rises come with violence; always have, always will.

We're headed toward collapse. The wealthy are extracting all the resources. Whoever controls oil the longest stays in control the longest when everyone else runs out and comes for what you have.

I agree with you that Trump himself doesn't have the first clue what he's doing. He's a selfish and self absorbed clown. But. He's also a puppet and tool to a cadre of authoritarians who do.

I don't think it's paranoia. It might be delayed for a while, but sooner or later the US or someone else will come for Canada and Greenland. You've got resources everyone else is running out of and there's been no real movement toward shrinking the economies and populations to avoid collapse or put us time until certain problems can be solved.
