As someone a little more than a decade older (GenX), I'm not sure all that Mario and Sonic were good for your fenerstion either. Sure they were less violent, objectively. But they also maybe primed Millennials to be overly task oriented. Everything under the sun is a fucking checklist of pass or fail. Millennials seem to have lost the ability to smell the roses or appreciate, much less want to cultivate, non-linear organic growth in anything. It kind of freaks them out.
Urchling doesn't play video gamrs. She used to like to watch me play a few of them because of the cartoony humor. I only ever played level games or quest games myself. I don't like first person shooters, generally speaking.
