As bad as the optics are, it's not about coming to the aid of a white woman. She's nothing but a whore in their eyes. She doesn't matter any more than any other woman who has suffered and seethed in Trump's assaults on marginalized women and women in general.

It's like Capone. He has powerful people protecting him on a lot of the other stuff and had money (access) enough to shorten the reach of justice. The justice department can't blow their entire budget on Trump and let everything else slide.

Like tax evasion for Capone, this is what they can get him on. But the dominos will start to fall after that case. He's loosing that access to money which was mostly propped up by Russian oligarchs and myth of wealth anyway.

All that said, I get the cynicism. Even though this suit likely won't be the last of it, like the tax case was with Capone, it won't ever be enough to make up for what he let loose against women in this country.

We're at war, ladies. The quicker we all realize that, the better.
