And when I say things like that society makes motherhood a punishment or an unnecessary burden/hardship you wouldn't believe the push back I get from both men and women. This is exactly the sort of stuff I mean. Your life doesn't end once you give birth. Sacrificing yourself on the alter of motherhood isn't good for you, your children, your family, or society. Why men and society keep insisting women do this to appeaae their male egos is beyond the pale.
