And just because you mention being under 6" ...

Check out my comment to Ossiana’s response to this same thread, about height relativity and I won’t repeat myself.

Further, eyeballing weights and measures is a learned skill, one most of us don’t have practice with anymore in modern life. Hell, most of us can’t do basic math without a calculator anymore.

When I was in college I got a reputation for being able to guess weights within a few ounces of a specific weight range because I worked at a study lab where I had to weigh hundreds of study animals daily. It took about 6 months of doing this daily to develop that skill. I was the only student worker in our group who could because I was the only one who could capture and hold the animals without them struggling wildly. I’m good with animals like that.

My point is this. Even if women said they just had to have a guy over 6 feet, how many of them do you think would actually be able to eyeball all the guys over 6 feet in a lineup? Particularly if you removed the height lines or fudged them a bit? Not many, right? I know I couldn’t! Not accurately, and I’m someone who CAN tell you how much a rat or a beagle or a goat weighs by looking at it and picking it up. Yeah.

Saying you want something because you’ve been influenced by dating propaganda and marketing media and actually being able to recognize it when it’s right in front of you is also not the same thing.

Food for thought.

Most women, when you talk to them and get to the kernel of it, it’s the confidence that comes with height, not the actual height itself that is the attraction. As Ossiana also said, shorter guys often have a chip on their shoulder about being short in the same way that flat chested women often have a chip on their shoulder from all the teasing they endured in adolescence.

Get over that chip, if you have one, and work on your self confidence and you’ll see it doesn’t make that much difference how tall you are. Everybody has traits to market. Find yours and market the hell out of them.
