And herein does the disconnect.
I didnt say they should be happy to rstion their eggs. In fact, I plainly said I shared the same economic woes of things being too expensive.
Being ignorant is not the same as being stupid.
I said they chose ignorance because they cared about something more (being entertained by someone else's pain) not that they were stupid.
Trump is who he has always been.
So are Trump voters.
So are the "centrist" fence sitters who chose Trump. All those folks can convince themselves that they're the voice of rationality all they want. In the end, they all chose what they chose and it wasn't because of the economy no matter how much they so.
The Biden/Harris administration brought doen the price of gas when it spiked due to Trump's policies.
The Biden/Harris administration brought forth a bill to deal with the border situalion. Republicans shot it down.
The Obama/Biden administration brought us the Affordable Care Act, even though Republicans fought tooth and nail against it, gutted a lot of it just to bring it to a vote, and then went after it after it passed.
More than one Trump voter has said they voted for Trump because they couldn't stand Obamacare and they didn't feel like Trump would mess with the Affordable Care Act. Clearly, these folks did not know what they were voting for.
That makes them ignorant and propagandized, not stupid. It's not the same.
The Biden/Harris administration broought debt relief for Millenials saddled with too high student loan debt due to predatory bank practices and poorly put together legislation.
The Biden/Harris administration capped the cost of insulin for seniors and gave an increase of living raise to social security recipients.
Covid stimulus. Gave people a chance to catch up on their rents after Covid.
It goes on and on.
It is disingenuous to say you don't know what their policies and plans are. What Harris' policy is. Progress. Alleviation of economic strain. Getting away from the nastiness. Cooperstion and partnership at home and abroad. Competence over a show.
They've done what they can to alleviate financial woes as much as they could against an obstructionist confess and been more successful than not.
It would never have been enough. People who think like that will always move the goalpost. If you're not who they want, they'll always find a reason why.
And yeah, the American people have spoken. Resoundingly. Definitively. Unequivocally. That is not in argument.
What is, is what they said and why they said it.
You think what you want. A lot of so called liberals and centrists are dancing around the same points, looking to make it make sense when it already does. Like I said, it's not that different than the thinking of battered spouses. It's not a rational argument though.
You all do what you want. From here on out, im moving my family to a more fairly liberal state, distancing, myself from Trump voters, and I'll support leaving the union in whatever way I can.
You can say I'm bitter and emotional all you want if it makes you feel better. I'm tired of my taxes paying for their folly. I'm tired of having to constantly dodge the fallout of their bigotry. We can't live with them because they won't let us live in peace.
