And also, we have no discipline about using less petroleum products by our product choices. Far too many people have to buy a new gas guzzler, the biggest gas guzzler they can or cannot afford every 3 years instead of a fuel efficient car and drive it till for a decade +.

It's not just cars, it's everything that uses petroleum. We're undisciplined. We won't use our purchasing power to decrease demand to force price reduction.

Honestly, if he wants to play that game, we the people of the world, and again particularly Americans because we're such large consumers, COULD stand behind the President and self ration petroleum and break the bastard along with a lot of other corporate psychopaths.

We could break the bastards and leave them whimpering for their Mamas. But we won't because, ad you say, we'd rather be junkies and be the ones whimpering for oil than get clean.
