Single fathers get the promised village for being heroic enough to face single parenthood alone. And all the sympathy in the world because they got abandoned to raise a kid alone.

Single mothers get punished and societally shamed for having the audacity to leave deadbeat and or abusive husbands and therefore "robbing" their children of fathers. Society goes out odnits way to make motherhood as painful and punishing as possible while all the while screeching about how selfish and shallow a woman is who elects not to have a child.
