America turning fascist isnt the end of civilization either. No one is being hyperbolic here.

Those checks and balances and unfounded faith are exactly what will allow it to happen. It also doesn't matter,in the end, if people knew what theybwere voting for or not. They voted for it nonetheless.

Nobody's going to stop anything. If all these "good folk" were too lazy to find out what they were voting for, don't you think they'll also be too lazy to stop what's next? Considering the effort level required of the former and the latter? If they were more interested in the pennies they'd get by selling out the lives and liberties of so many others, don't you think that will hold true when all these militias get turned on the populace?

You believe what you believe, the same as me. And that's fine. You're exactly as close to "knowing" as I am. No one can see or predict the future and we're both intelligent, rational people who know our history.
