All guys say pretty much the same, with an occasional dissent or variation.

Thing is, you can't count on the "gym" photos of the 666 stud to be real representations of a real man's profile rather than some model picture pulled off the internet.

Let's face it, there aren't as many truly fit men out there as these apps would have us believe. Model physiques aren't exactly falling from the sky for either gender, know what mean?

When you look at pictures of "normal guys" on these apps, they're practically all the same. Taken from a distance, grainy, ball cap obscuring half the face, in a poor posture, holding up a fish or a sports ball, leaning with one leg up against the front of a sports car or truck with arms crossed, deadpan or no facial expression, .... you get my point. Bro pics in other words.

When I was on dating apps, I'd see these pics and think, "is he wanting to pick up another guy? Is this app secretly a buddy app instead of a dating app?"

If you want to stand out, you can't be dedicated to or promote standard. You don't want to peacock to the point of ridiculousness, but you do want to display your personality and what you're about. Anyways, no doubt it's a bit of a balancing act.

The design of dating apps is highly problematic. I don't know what the hell they were thinking! Profile creation and display is dehumanizing, it feels too much like putting oneself on an auction block. It's no wonder men end up feeling so rejected, but it's a shame they blame women for this. Women are equally stung by feelings of rejection from dating apps, but I think they're just used to it more and have learned to see the scam in it after years of being objectified by the beauty industry. The apps have that same effect of the marketing industry of always making you feel like you're failing and that you don't measure up. It's quite the psychological torment. The bastards.

Anyways, glad to hear you were smart enough to get off the apps if they weren't good for you mentally and emotionally. Same here. Also glad you've been able to move on to find some happiness in your life rather than devolve into a bitter, woman hating, man-shrew. Hope things continue to go well for you and in your life.
