But I agree with you and the OP that Purpose of life discussions are mostly esoteric of philosophical sophistery that does more harm than good. Even amongst people who swear by it, aren't exactly living the best lives being a happy cog of end stage capitalism. At least, that's been my observation. They tend to be unduly wound up, you know what I mean? When things go sideways, as they tend to do from time to time, they're the first to fall apart.
