Ah. I see there distrust of us as being a continuation of religious doctrine. Stuff like what you mention is just a new veneer of learned bias. That's why there will always be some "other" reason. They'll pick up on the new "reason" because it's hard and painful to do the work of self critique. The ego wants to preserve itself as is. Let's face it, not many people have what it takes to let one's ego burn away willingly so that a better ego will rise from the flames.

Also, there's something deeply carnal and pleasurable about hate for some personalities. They'll look for any outlet.
