Ah. Gender and biological sex are not the same but the words 'woman' and 'man' get used interchangeably in bizarre ways.
When you're talking about the situstion in the ER, the doctors or morticians won't be referring to me as a woman, they'll refer to me as a 53 yr old female, caucasian, approximately 5'7" / 150 lbs.
Because they're referring to my sex and how that affects my treatment.
But lay people refer to me as a woman because they're mostly referring to my gender and my presentation. Despite my disregard for many feminine tropes, I still clearly track feminine.
It's not as big a deal in the public discourse for you because as a male/man, you're considered the default human and you have full autonomy. There's no perception of being public property with your gender or your presentation.
That's somewhat reductive, it's obviously more complicated than that. But I'm out of time, so I'm keeping it simple.
It's just not the public debate tied to "fall of society" tyoe bullshit when men blue the lines. And when they do, (Transwomen) it's still femininity that is attacked, generally.
