Ah. Either way, I disagree that the article demonizes all men.
It does generalize a very real online phenomenon that women are getting 'blessed' with to all American men, but even that is not all men. As it turns out, there are men all over the planet. Who knew?
And there is MOST definitely a loud cohort of aggrieved men, especially within the black community, that this article applies to. Ever heard of a Passport Bro?
Had Lulu changed the descriptir American men to Padsport Bros, it would be more accurate. However, Passport Bros as a descriptor is directed silelynat Black men and there are white men and hispanic men doing this and acting this way on the internet too.
So maybe Passport Bros and their contemporaries from other racial demographics would have been the best phrasing, but that's a bit problematic too.
The fact is, misogynists of all caliber have been up in women's grills about their standards for a really long time. Over a generation.
Men complain about 6-6-6 type bullshit but conveniently ignore how they've been demanding 36'24'38', pouty porn star lips, long hair, submissiveness, a lady on the streets but a freak on the sheets, makes her own money AND does ALL the housework, home cooked meal every night, blah blah blah.
Also all bullshit.
And you look at these guys demanding all this and crowing how they deserve the whole package and shit and every single one of them is a couch potato dough boy who's thumbs is the only part of his body that's gotten any exercise in years.
Nobody's owed anything. Men or women. Whichever side the pie in the sky demands is coming from, it's narcissistic thinking at best. I mean, who do these people think they are to believe that God should open the heavens and drop a Stepford babe/dude at their feet because they're so special?
Ridiculous.
Look, there's a bunch of folks that need to get their heads out of their asses. About a lot of things.
Honestly, I didn't mind your tone at all. Harmful nonsense should be called out for the bullshit it is. I did mine the insinuation that I demonized men. It's usually men like she's describing in her article who usually say that because I refuse to infantalize them or pander to their narcissistic thinking. So if that's not you, then I also apologize flaming back at you.
BTW, I'm an equal opportunity bullshit whack-a-moler. I commented harshly on a woman's article today that had that same narcissistic thinking about the selfishness of it.
