Add to that the criminalization of youth.
I think though, that the bullying angle has been overemphasized. Kids have always bullied each other, it part of growing up.
Trying to end bullying is kind like trying to end abortion. It just goes dark, you know?
There's no doubt bullying has changed. The internet means it's forever, it's more of a cluster fuck, and there's no reprieve or downtime from it.
Still, it would be better to teach kids how to deal with bullies rather than trying to police bullying. Then they don't lose self esteem or the respect of their peers by "ratting" or asking for help.
