Actually, the hauntings of perfectionism lead to all those other things.
It’s not the only thing that does. But definitely. It’s a trauma response from feeling rejected.
Find me a perfectionist who didn’t feel humiliated by some sort of long term, persistent rejection in childhood. Good luck cause it will be a long search.
This is very common in women with strict faith upbringings. And why not? Look at purity culture. Even God finds you lacking and unworthy.
Why did anyone ever think that was going to be a good thing? It’s a path to self annihilation.
