Actually no. He is involved in a civil suit in which he is the plaintiff suing Amber Heard on charges of defamation because of an article she wrote about surviving domestic abuse that did not specifically name him.

Amber Heard is the one “on trial" as the defendent, although again, this is a civil case. She has not been accused of a crime either by a District Attorney acting on behalf of the state upholding a law.

The fact that it is so widely believed and reported that he’s the one on trial speaks to what you’re saying in the rest of the article.

But no. He sued her for 50 million dollars. She then countersued for 100 million.

Neither one of them has been charged or arrested for this particular crime. Nobody’s facing jail time, and neither ever were.

The public has some kind of mass hysteria over this case and it’s indirect relation to #MeToo, meaning it is being used as a backlash against it.
